This is not the first time Judge Parrott has gone wrong with the case of a child. In 2006 he awarded the custody of a child to an admitted drug abusing parent that had no job or no home. He thanked the mother of who had a stable environment with the recommendation of DFAS and gave the child back to dad with strong protests of DFAS and Douglas County Juvenile Court. This child of who just turned 18 is now a heavy drug user and prostitutes for dad. Dad as well, is using over $200 a day in drugs with his child. Judge Parrott threw out all contempt convictions and stalking charges against dad and sealed all the records personally so they never get used against dad again. He is a crooked judge. How he never got investigated is only a guess.

"I’m not interested in setting a policy or debating a policy. I’m interested in the immediate needs of a child."

There in lies the problem with adding religion into public policy. You're not debating with other Americans you're debating with a Higher Power, as understood by others.

Some feel that a Higher Truth has deemed gay people abominations and they should be shunned.
If an effect of this shunning is the suffering of an innocent child who are we to argue with the child's creator.

I'm probably very close to Erik's position. This child is suffering and there is a loving adult who has proven that she will care and educate her. I frankly could care less what turns this adult on behind closed doors.

I didn't read the entire RS thread. What was the consensus as to what should be done for Emma?

To tell you the truth, I wasn't that surprised by the reaction. However, I'm not interested in setting a policy or debating a policy. I'm interested in the immediate needs of a child.

A lot of folks on both sides of the aisle sometimes want to debate the larger policy issue and forget about the basic application in a particular case.

You can certainly stay more consistent that way, or appear that way, but I'm much more interested in case by case application.

I wondered about that too, Linda. But they are not in the picture or the record. They may very well not be living.

And FAP, thanks.

The tragedy is that the Emma is scarred for life because adults had their own values twisted. It makes no difference where she goes from here because the harm cannot be undone. Where are the grandparents is what I want to know?

You have my respect for posting this on the sites you have.

I hope the child is brought to an adult that will love and care for her as soon as humanly possible.
