Just how bad is the GOP 2008 field by many estimations? A cartoon duck is leading a draft effort. Stacy McCain has the details:
Conservative economist Walter E. Williams says he’s flattered at being urged to seek the 2008 Republican presidential nomination — even if the draft committee is headed by a cartoon duck. The “Mallard Fillmore” comic strip has spent the past two weeks promoting the George Mason University economics professor as a 2008 candidate — with some success, judging from Mr. Williams’ e-mail in-box.
Call me crazy, but I could get excited about Walter Williams. Of course, what I’m really interested in seeing is that transformation that would happen the moment he declares. I’d expect we would want geneticists and scientists and Algore present to behold the transformation.
You know the one I’m talking about — the one where he says, “I will seek the Presidency of the United States,” and POOF!, he becomes white in the eyes of Democrats.
I’d really like to catch that on film.

So what about the president’s nomination of Ben S. Bernanke as Alan Greenspan’s replacement? I know little or nothing about the man. What I do know is that it’s not wise for one person, or group of persons, to have so much power over our economy. Here’s my recommendation for reducing that power: Repeal legal tender laws and eliminate all taxes on gold, silver and platinum transactions. That way, Americans could write contracts in precious metals and thereby reduce the ability of government to steal from us.
Yes I want to vote for a president that will dissolve the Fed and return us to a barter system.

Yeah, but Hillary wanted National Socialism . . . er . . . National Socialized Medicine.
We now have socialized medicine for all county, city, state and federal workers that the rest of us have to pay dearly for. Politicians are also covered in this elitist vote thou selves a generous retirement package and generous health benefits, and screw those that pay for it! But I guess that is government capitalism.
As those early founders of our United States believed, every now and then a revolution is needed to change a corrupt government. But we will sit back and allow the revolutionaries be the ones that run us out of our country because we are a nation of lazy people that have allowed our government to turn us into slaves. Yes, we are slaves to the government! So, each side can go on and on about the corruption of the other, but the truth of the matter is that both sides are the problem not the solution.
Well I don’t either Hillary or the Lord of Barter Town to be my president.
But have you considered that some forms of government subsidized health care are pro-business and help American companies?
