Ruminations from inside the vast right wing conspiracy.

An awesomeness sandwich on awesomeness bread

Via Instapundit comes this hilarious article from Salon on the sexism of Obama voters.

“I pinpoint sexism for a living. You’d think I’d be able to find an example. And I hate to rely on this hokey notion that there’s some woman’s way of knowing, and that I just ******* know. But I do. I just know.” When it comes to feminism, she continued, so much proof is required to convince someone that sexism exists, “even when it’s explicit and outrageous. So when it’s subdued or subtle, you don’t want to talk about it.”

I love this primary.

You see the problem here, don’t you. Ms. Traister and the people she talked too don’t specifically say so, but the real reason they have doubts about Obama is because he is black. It is just the mirror image of their projections that anyone who supports Obama is a sexist.

That’s the choice you have in the Democrat Primary this year. You can either be a racist or a sexist.

    I love this primary too.

Sadly, its neither racist, or sexist, but the proponents no longer have the linguistic skills to dig deeper. They slap the label-of-choice on their opponents, irrespective of its substance or veracity, and walk away.

I think the best metaphor for the Democratic nomination is that old Mad cartoon, Spy-vs.-Spy.

You know, even if one of these two disasters gets to the White House, there will still be some residual pleasure from having gotten to watch fatuous liberals socking each other with the identity-politics bat.

Best part is, the longer this goes on, the less traction the inevitable accusations of racism/sexism will have against Republicans in the general. Conservatives can just shrug and say, “You’ve been seeing a racist/sexist behind every tree this whole campaign. Sod off.” People will just be sick of it.

Well, that kinda sucks for those of us that actually are backlash misogynistic racists and want credit for it, doesn’t it?

    Yes, you would, wouldn’t you…

Funny, isn’t it? For people so worried about middle America’s “economic insecurity”, none of these people work in a business. They’re all in “the professions”, or academia, or the “non profit sector.

Did she just call Obama guys *boys*?

Uh oh. This will not end well.

ObAOL: I also love this primary.

ObAOL2: I also want to get credit for clinging to my own anti-hairy-legged-femin@zi xenophobic bitterness.

“When it comes to feminism, she continued, so much proof is required to convince someone that sexism exists, ‘even when it’s explicit and outrageous’.”

Yes, this whole notion of having to actually provide evidence to back up your claims is just so tiresome and oppressive, you know? We would all be better off if we could return to the good old days when you could just accuse someone of being a witch Communist sexist and they would be presumed guilty unless they could prove their own innocence.

Oops, I screwed up my HTML. I was trying to say this: ” . . . the good old days when you could just accuse someone of being a witch Communist sexist and they would be presumed guilty . . .”

Seems like the Democratic party is not a big tent at all but just a bunch of little tents. Where all the same “types” sit together.

We (my close friends and I) plan to host a big viewing party for the Democratic convention – we’re going to treat it like the Superbowl – get a big screen, make lots of yummy snacks, lots of booze, and just lay around and watch from start to finish. I sincerely hope that there is no actual violence, that no one is actually, physically harmed. Anything short of that, up to and including police raids, massive demonstrations, pandimonium, general utter chaos, etc. will absolutely thrill me.

I’m not proud, but I am honest.

Funny how the ‘progressive’ wing of the Dems seems exactly like a high school lunch room clique. Probably not far from the truth.

“I pinpoint sexism for a living.”

Ugh. Could you imagine *that* trade convention?

In 2006, my friend Clayton asked if I wanted to start a horse race style blog of Georgia politics. It evolved into a site that tries to cover the state objectively, without just being a place to mouth off the party line. It's been a fun release to get away from right wing activism and just cover politics as a hobby. Check it out at www.peachpundit.com
